Paul “Pops” Litzsinger was born in 1932 in St Louis Mo. He was the first person in his family to go to college – University of Missouri where he met Dona Lucy Follett (Follett Family Legacy – Business) who was at Stephens College. He graduated in 1954 with an accounting and finance degree.

He had been in Air Force ROTC, so after marrying he went into the Air Force, service 3 years as a Captain during cold war period at the end of Korea. He was enlisted by Dona’s father to join the family businesss where he concentrated in helping build the College Bookstore business. During his 20 years in that business and being President the last 10, he was asked to become President/CEO of the Follett Corporation, where he led the business from 1977 until 1997. He was the first non-family (in-law) President (3rd Generation Leadership). His legacy of leadership was well respected within the industry, but also throughout the 4 branches of the Follett family, encompassing at the time, over 100 shareholders. Follett grew from $250M in revenue to $1B during his tenure as President/CEO of Follett Corporation.

Paul has 6 children, 17 grand children and 22 great grand children.
