Nita Sardana

VP Community Outreach & Corporate Giving, Innova Solutions; Chief Impact Officer, Innova Foundation

Since co-founding the Innova Foundation in 2013, Nita Sardana has led the organization to impact countless lives around the globe—collaborating with more than 150 community partners across North America, Europe, and APAC.

In addition to her role at the Innova Foundation, Nita serves as Vice President of Community Outreach & Corporate Giving at Innova Solutions. Founded in 1998 by Nita’s husband, Raj Sardana, Innova Solutions has grown into an undisputed leader in IT and talent solutions with more than 50,000 professionals worldwide and an annual revenue approaching $3 billion. As VP, Nita helps identify ways to support Innova’s employees and their communities—from managing a scholarship program for employees’ children to organizing food drives.

Nita is passionate about empowering women and believes that the best way to accomplish this is through education. Under her leadership as Chief Impact Officer, the Innova Foundation has awarded more than $300,000 in academic scholarships to deserving students through partnerships with Women in Technology, the Jeannette Rankin Foundation, the YWCA’s Teen Girls in Technology program (TGI Tech), and other organizations.

Nita’s enthusiasm for women’s empowerment has taken her to events around the globe where she encourages women towards success by sharing her own journey as a leader. She has also spearheaded several webinars recognizing accomplished women who serve as a source of inspiration; most recently, Nita joined leaders from Salesforce, Dress for Success Worldwide, and Dress for Success Atlanta for a Women’s History Month webcast, “EnableHER: Women Driving Global Change.”

Moving to the United States as a young child in 1970, Nita’s heart is still deeply tied to her homeland where she supports several non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including the Earth Saviours Foundation. This New Delhi-based NGO affords food, shelter, medical care, and other essentials to more than 1,200 abandoned senior citizens while promoting social consciousness and environmentalism. Under her guidance, the Innova Foundation provides food each day for the Earth Saviours’ residents and recently sponsored the purchase of a 10 KVA solar plant to provide eco-friendly, sustainable access to electricity.

Nita’s work in India also includes the adoption of several elementary schools; the Innova Foundation has equipped these buildings with tables, chairs, facilities for clean water, new bathrooms, and fresh paint. Under her direction, Innova also donates computer labs and smart boards to ensure that children have the tools needed to learn effectively. To ensure that the students can focus on education rather than hunger, the foundation partners with Akshaya Patra to provide two free meals a day for each student. In March 2024, Nita helped expand Innova’s efforts in the region by sponsoring vaccinations to prevent cervical cancer for 1,300 girls as part of a collaboration with Rotary International and the Rotary Club of Delhi Dynamics.

Nita’s community involvement goes beyond her role at the Innova Foundation to include numerous board and committee positions. She presently serves on the board of the YWCA of Greater Atlanta, the advisory board for SEWA International, and as an honorary co-chair for the Jeannette Rankin Foundation’s strategic growth campaign. Nita also works closely with Dress for Success Atlanta, helping the organization raise over $600,000 and spearheading the opening of the Innova EmpowHER Center in 2023.

In addition to her women’s empowerment work, Nita served on the board of Shiv Mandir of Atlanta and raised over $1 million for the construction of their temple. She is also an advisory board member for Leap to Shine—a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide quality education to underserved children using best-in-class digital technology.

In recognition of Nita’s tireless philanthropic work, she has received the following honors:

Nita lives in Atlanta with her husband, Raj, and son, Rajan. She credits her two daughters, Sonia and Shivani, as the inspiration for her work, and they both play significant roles in her charitable initiatives. In her free time, Nita enjoys spending as much time as possible with her three grandsons, who she describes as “the loves of her life.”
