Dr. Lance Garrison
Dr. Garrison is a licensed psychologist and school psychologist who specializes in pediatric psychology. His primary clinical focus has been working with children and their families. His experience spans school districts, hospitals, outpatient clinics and private practice. Dr. Garrison has served as a member of multidisciplinary teams conducting presurgical evaluations of children with spasticity disorders and craniofacial differences at Medical City Hospital in Dallas; provided psychological consultation/liaison services in oncology/hematology, med/surg, and emergency departments at St. James Hospitals in Chicago; helped develop and manage behavioral programming for children with autism spectrum disorders and provided intervention and assessment services at school districts across North Texas. He has worked with academically gifted adolescents at the Texas Academic of Mathematics and Sciences at the University of North Texas and provided psychological and neuropsychological assessment for children ranging in age from 4 to 21 years with Cook Children’s Hospital and Healthcare System in North Texas. Most recently, he has worked in private practice in McKinney, Texas where his clients were children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. Garrison currently serves as the Dean of the College of Professional Psychology at The Chicago School where he oversees the training of clinical, counseling, forensic, and psychopharmacology students across the country.
