Caren Yanis is a philanthropic advisor and teacher. She helped Oprah Winfrey build Oprah’s Angel Network in the 2000s, went on to become president of Crown Family Philanthropies in Chicago, and now runs a boutique advising practice. Caren is a member of the Ortus Foundation Advisory Board. She teaches at the University of Chicago’s Booth School in the Private Wealth Management Certificate Program. Through her practice she helps families build knowledge and expertise in philanthropic practice.
