Bob Venable is President and CEO of Miami Corporation Management, LLC, a multi-generation family office founded in 1917 and based in Chicago. Prior to Miami Corporation, Bob was President of Charter Manufacturing, a $2 billion, family-owned manufacturer of steel and iron products. Bob also spent 17 years with Baird, where he was a Managing Director and a member of Baird’s board of directors and executive committee. Bob was raised on a family farm in Wisconsin and remains involved in the ownership and leadership of the farm, which is now in its fourth generation.

Bob is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. He is also a CFA charter holder.

Bob is a member of the board and executive committee of Kids First Chicago and a board member and chair of Badger Advocates, which is affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a member of the Commercial Club and the Economic Club of Chicago.

Bob and his wife Ellen have three grown children.
